~White Fire Gundam Wing~

Generator Gawl

-Basic Info.-

American Distributor: AD Vision

Genre: Action/ Main character has super abilities

Episodes: 12

Executive Producers: Masaru Nakamura, Kenji Yoshida

My Suggested Age Group: 13-14 and up

Release Form: VHS (dubbed only) and DVD (Subbed and Dubbed)

-Animation-

From what I the animation is mostly clean and detailed. There are some great designs in the mecha, but as with any series one will see, the quality wavers in distance and quick-action shots but the quality is certainly good enough to lay claim to the all action genre. this is not the best I have seen but it is pretty well done.

Score: 8 of 10 (B)

-Story line/Plot-

What starts out as a simple story with some absolutely wonderful humor that nobody should miss twists and turns into a tale with deception, bravery, inner conflict and other cool stuff that I can't type without giving something away. Everything is there, I like it.

Score: 10 of 10 (A)

-Characters-

There are some fairly original characters in Generator Gawl. We see Gawl, who changes from jokester to the solemn creature he must often be. atop of that we have some characters that aren't necessarily very original but hold out on showing us their thoughts until later in the series. Overall, I would have to say that that characters are really quite good, you'll love them, and you will hate them.

Score: 9 of 10 (A)

-Music-

The first thing we hear is the opening theme entitled "I Want Out"; The lyrics are very interesting and the song itself is one of my favorite opening themes. During the actual episodes, the score did not really demand my attention but it matches the scenes well.

Score: 8 of 10 (B)

-Content-

As far as I have seen, there is no compromising scene and no foul language (As far as lingo, keep in mind that I have only seen it dubbed) I do not foresee any questionable occurrences.

Score: 10 of 10 (A)

-Final Score-

Generator Gawl receives a 90% (A).

-Summary-

(Due to the fact that my writing skills are lacking Today I will merely type the lines on the back of the tape. This is not my writing but the summary given By A.D. Vision)

In October 2007, Professor Takuma Nekasa uncovers a gene code that will unlock our body's greatest mystery. Later, that discovery will lead to the birth (or manufacture?) of deceptively human-skinned generators.

And now, it's up to two young scientists and their friend, Gawl, to stop this future threat. But the dark generators have followed them into the past and Gawl must become the thing he hates in order to save our world and his own.
