Following the virtual destruction of the Gundam Deathscythe, the newer model was adapted for space combat and upgraded to stand against the Mercurius and Vayeate.
The main difference between the original and the new Deathscythe Hell is the presence of the Active cloak which serves for better maneuverability at high speeds (which are frequently used by this suit) and acts as a shield for the whole suit. In addition, the Gundam spawns fear all the more in it's foes as the cloak gives the impression that one is fighting the devil himself.
