As a child named Miliardo Peacecraft, his family and way of life was stripped from him by the invading Earth Sphere Alliance who disagreed with the country's stand for total pacifism. With nothing left, he joined his enemy as a soldier in hopes of ending their reign from within. He graduated from the academy with as not only the top of his class but as the highest scoring student ever to pass through the academy, always keeping his face hidden behind the mask.
Once he met the actual battlefield, one thing became apparent: he was virtually unstoppable. His fighting earned him the name "The Lightning Baron" and he soon accepted as the most powerful soldier ever conceived. His goal is that war be stopped.I have to respect Zechs because he knows what to do in order to achieve his goal, though it is extreme and will result in the destruction of all life on Earth, he knows that there is one way to truly make the human race see the foolishness of war.
